At Kiddiwinx we aim to provide a safe and caring environment for children to thrive and reach their full potential.
Kiddiwinx is set in a large double fronted Victorian building, operating over two floors. There is a large walled garden to the rear and has off road parking essential for safe dropping off and collecting.
Kiddiwinx Day Nursery occupies a prime location ideally close to Folkestone Central Train Station, the Bus Station, Folkestone Town Centre and East Kent College. And a short drive from junction 13 off the M20
Enrolment
Once enrolled in nursery, your child will be given a Key Person. They will be responsible for your child’s well being at nursery and track your child’s progress regularly, writing observations and planning activities that will be interesting and challenging to them. That person is also a point of contact for parents/ carers.
Play
Play is a child’s ‘work’ and is so important for their development. It offers a chance to connect with other children. Play helps a child learn what is expected of him or her and how to act in society.
Play activities offered at nursery will be geared towards your child’s own interests. The Key Person will be adding to that experience to challenge and further develop their learning.

Things to Bring to the Nursery
A spare set of clothes, and extra pants/knickers/socks when toilet training.
We suggest that children are not dressed in their 'best' clothes as we can guarantee they will get them dirty during the day.
A sun hat and sun cream.
A coat or jacket - appropriate for the weather conditions of the day as all children access the garden/ outdoors every day.
Appropriate footwear also for the weather conditions of the day.
Nappies and wipes as the nursery does NOT supply these.
Slippers/soft shoes for use indoors.
Please note that any item of clothing should be clearly named.
THE DAY AT NURSERY
Though we do not have a strict routine, there are set times for certain activities.
In packed lunches we recommend a sandwich, roll or wrap, some fruit and a yogurt with water rather than sugary squash drinks. Healthier Families The ethos of our nursery is to reduce, reuse and recycle; therefore we request that lunchboxes consist of 3 – 4 items, preferably not packed in single use plastics – to encourage the children to become more aware about caring for their environment.
Morning snack time is around 10 am.
Lunch time is at 12.00 noon.

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets standards for all the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years. All Early Years providers and schools registered with Ofsted must follow the EYFS.
Free Early Education for 2, 3 and 4 Year Olds
Some 2 year old children are eligible for 570 hours of free early education per year. All 3 and 4 year olds are also eligible for this entitlement. This entitlement is usually taken as 15 hours per week over 38 weeks of the year.
When claiming any Free Early Education you will be offered 5 X 3 hour sessions between 9 am and 3 pm. One session is 3 hours. Sessions are 9-12, 12-3 or 9-3. As the nursery is open from 8.30 to 5.30 any additional hours required will be charged at the nursery rate.
We also offer 30 hours for eligible children and Tax free Childcare
